Firstly, we at Berkeley Books Community Library would like to thank everybody from our local community for their patience and understanding whilst the building work for the new build has been happening, especially in regards to parking.
But, the end is near!!
We will be closing the library 12 noon July 19th
The current building needs to be demolished and the new build externally finished and landscaped.
We are hoping to open our doors to you all early September.
In regards to loans and reservations……
You will not be able to reserve books online or at our reception from July 11th for collection in Berkeley Library.
We will continue to get our deliveries of reservations until the July 18th, July 19th being the last day you can collect books from Berkeley Library.
Any reservations not picked up, or arriving afterwards will be sent to Dursley library, unless you want to cancel the reservation.
During our closed period, please return all books to Dursley. If this isn’t possible, please return to us when we reopen in September.
NO late charges will incur during our closed period.

Once again, we would like to thank you all for your patience. We all have fond memories of the current building, but we’re sure we can all agree that it’s well past its sell-by date, built as a temporary measure in 1977!
We can’t wait to welcome you to your new community hub and library!
Tea and cake mornings have returned to the library on the first Tuesday of the month!
On these Tuesdays we will be offering homemade cake and a cup of tea, coffee or hot chocolate and a slice of cake for £3 from 10.30am untill we run out!
So come have a sit down and have a chat or get your head stuck into one of our fabulous books and support your local community library.
